The Château de la Rousselière is one of the venues I visit most often. I truly love this place, which allows for elegant weddings that are always unique. None of the weddings I’ve photographed there have ever been the same.
A civil ceremony at Saint-Brevin-les-Pins town hall
The day began with Joanna’s preparations in a family home in Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. She wore a beautiful short dress specially chosen for this first part of the day, along with makeup designed to last from morning to night. A modern yet elegant look, keeping the surprise of her main dress for the afternoon ceremony.
Later that morning, we headed to the town hall of Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. The wedding room is located upstairs and is filled with natural light. I also really appreciate the surroundings of the town hall, as the trees provide shade and keep everyone comfortable on a warm summer day.
Bridal preparations in one of the château’s rooms
Once we arrived at the estate, guests who had attended the civil ceremony were able to enjoy a light cocktail at lunchtime. This break also allowed the bride to slip into her stunning gown in one of the château’s rooms.
I particularly love the rooms at the estate: two spacious and bright rooms face each other, allowing both partners to get ready separately, surrounded by their closest friends, without seeing each other.
Of course, a glass of champagne to relax and celebrate the day is always welcome after the bride’s first look with her friends.

The reception hall in Loire-Valley : celebrating the evening
After the ceremony, the bride tossed her bouquet using the ribbon game before officially opening the cocktail hour. Guests enjoyed the beautiful August sunshine before being invited into the reception hall to continue the celebration.
A decoration reflecting the couple’s personality awaited them, including personalized beers and photos we had taken during a previous engagement session on a beach in Loire-Atlantique.
The evening continued with emotional highlights: a performance created by family and friends telling the couple’s story, followed by the traditional speeches from the parents.
